As the owner & art director of my own freelance design studio, I am constantly looking & searching for new inspirations & "good design." These topics will be the main focus of my new Blog :: Designs of the Times, which was created through a self-hosted WordPress (aka content management system) I am excited to write about some of the great designs I come across in daily life & travels. I especially look forward to posting trends in design... such as current-use styles, popular & effective color schemes & fonts. Also looking forward to sharing some of the beautiful inspirations from my world... be it the innocent words of a youngers or the scenic wooded forest of the Tahoe Basin... Special Blessing Bath Salts / branding
My lastest company logo designs can bee seen on the product label for the local Gardnerville Company "Special Blessings - Bath Salts from the Dead Sea." Very soon you will be able to custom order directly through their webiste. The salts are derived from the dead sea & help to detoxify the body. It's also good to know that each jar of salts is blessed by company owner & ordained minister, Lisa Hoeppner.

Just a few blocks from the majestic beauty of Lake Tahoe - on the Nevada side is Island Framing. The retail/wholesale framing business is owned & operated by Tasa Hernon who just happens to be a pro-bike rider. Working with Tasa to create the clean look & feel of her website was a lot of fun. The finished pieces that come out of her shop are beautiful & inspiring to see. Seattle, Washington based business Bloom Training & Consulting was ready for a new look on their website - BloomLearning.com.
Bloom's upgraded logo style was hand painted with acrylics using Asian brushes then brought into Adobe Illustrator for typography and added brush accents.
